A very windy and wet day saw us battling the elements as well as a tough Mayfield defence. In the first half, we struggled to get the ball into our shooters and taking the shot was extremely tricky with the wind blowing across court. We did try to play patient netball and our down court defence was reducing Mayfield's successful transitions.

Second half, we kept the pressure on and it started to pay off. We slowly made up the first half deficit and brought the game to a 6-6 draw at the end of the third quarter. One change was made in swapping WA & WD. This fresh perspective and strengths of both players in their new positions allowed us to flow down court more freely and we drew away slightly in the end.

Great game from both teams in very challenging conditions!
